SACRED SCHMOOZE!

Announcing our guest speaker
for the April 15th

(raindate, April 29th Sacred Schmooze)

Our next schmooze will host Zak Ebrahim, a nonviolence advocate and lecturer, as the speaker. Son of El-Sayed Nosair, the assassin of Rabbi Meir Kahani, as well as a planner from his prison cell of the 1993 World Center bombing which killed six people, Zak is devoting his life to nonviolence. His lectures demonstrate, on a very human level, that even those surrounded by hate and under its influence can still choose a life of true dedication, meaning and integrity through peaceful means.

Emily and Sarah Kunstler, daughters of William Moses Kunstler, the late radical attorney and civil rights activist who defended The Chicago Seven, The Black Panther Party, the Attica Prison rioters, American Indian movements, Patty Hearst and umpteen other left causes, will be filming a documentary of Zak's life and are attending in order to film parts of his speech to us. Audience participants may sign waivers to allow themselves to be included in the film.

A reporter from The Herald is attending to cover the event.
Suggested minimum donations are $10 per adult and $5 per child because there are two honorariums to be given; one to the speaker and one to the venue, St. Philip's Church.

Attendees are asked to contribute an appetizer or dessert. Space is limited.
